今年（2011年）の6月に、ドイツのコブレンツ（Koblenz, Germany）にて、altmetrics のみをテーマにしたワークショップが初めて開催されました。 altmetrics11: Tracking scholarly impact on the social Web – altmetrics.org http://altmetrics.org/workshop2011/ altmetrics とは？ altmetrics is the creation and study of new metrics based on the Social Web for analyzing, and informing scholarship. about – altmetrics.org http://altmetrics.org/about/ 僕は altmetrics11 翌週にスイス（ジュネーヴ）とドイツ（リンダウ）訪問予定があった為、距離と開催日が近いながら参加断念したのですが、スイスで初対面した Cameron Neylon や、Twitter 等で仲良くしてくれる Peer Evaluation の Aalam Wassef も参加・発表されており、無理してでも参加出来ればと悔やんでも悔やみきれず。 しかし早くも来年（2012年）開催の第二回ワークショップに向けて CFP が公開された模様。〆切は2012年1月28日で、今回は何と PLoS ONE の Submission Guidelines に従って投稿受け付けするとのこと。 altmetrics: Tracking scholarly impact on the social Web – altmetrics.org http://altmetrics.org/plosone/ 僕には敷居が高すぎる CFP だけど、Organizers の Paul Groth、Dario Taraborelli、Jason Priem の3人は Twitter や Mendeley のグループ等でもお馴染みな顔触れで、是非イチ参加者として最新の altmetrics 情報収集しに行きたいなぁと思う海外イベントの1つ。 12月上旬に Mendeley の Co-Founder & CEO である Victor Henning が日本に招聘され、数々の講演を行うんだけど（僕は残念ながら日程調整つかず対面見送り）、来年（か遅くとも再来年の2013年）にはこのエントリ内登場人物が国内登壇（きっと NII が招聘。笑）して altmetrics 関連のワークショップ開くんだろうなぁ、と妄想しつつ・・。
